The Challenge
By the time we got on site, it was a plain and empty, just cemented, and white putty worked done, and it also got stained and yellowish. Every wall and ceiling still needed serious work before paint could even come into the picture.
The home wasn’t short on architectural ambition either. We were dealing with soaring ceilings, a curved staircase wall, feature bulkhead ceilings, an open-plan living area, floor-to-ceiling windows, recessed ceiling designs, a generous entertainment space, and feature walls that needed to look completely seamless once finished.
Put simply, there was very little room for error or mistakes, and a lot of detail that needed a steady hand. A minute level of mistake can disturb the canvas.
Where the Detail Really Mattered
As you can see in the video, the ceiling design in this home was genuinely impressive, full of recessed sections, geometric bulkheads, and lighting cut-outs. So while painting, the impressive part also became a crucial task for us because of such height and cureves also we have see in the upward direction, and a single mistake can ruin our work. Painting around all of that took accurate cutting-in, a consistent roller technique, and a lot of patience to keep the edges crisp and the transitions clean between different surfaces.
The curved staircase wall was its own challenge entirely. There’s no straight line to follow on a sweeping curve like that, so it was very challenging to colour the walls over there. As it was a curve, it would be easy to notice the mistakes and a willingness to slow down and get it right, rather than rush it was needed.
Before and After
Before we started, this was a home full of exposed stains, cracks, visible joint compound, and raw, unfinished surfaces. It looked and felt like a work in progress, so we need to start from zero by filling the cracks with cement.
By the end, every room told a different story: smooth walls with a genuinely premium finish, clean ceiling lines, elegant architectural detail brought out rather than hidden, bright and consistent colour throughout, and the kind of craftsmanship you notice even if you’re not looking for it. Also, the colour selection by the client was so perfect that if seat in the home and have light music, you will feel so peaceful and calm in the home. With natural light pouring in through the home’s large windows, the finished interiors felt considerably more refined and genteel than the shell we’d started with.
